Brook Family/Lamb Hall Huddersfield
« on: Monday 03 November 25 10:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone

I'm trying to track an ancestor of mine, Joe Brook, who was born on 3rd November 1859 in Lamb Hall, Longwood, Huddersfield.
I have a gap between 1921 (when I know Joe Brook was still living in Lamb Hall) and 1939 when he lived elsewhere that I am intrigued to find out more about to see if I can find out why the Brook family left Lamb Hall during that period of time or whether it was sold/demolished for some reason, but there are no more census' between 1921 and 1951 to view (and I have to wait another 25 years to view the 1951 census!!).
Can anyone help to work out what happened to the Brook family, who became the owner of Lamb Hall after 1921 and when Lamb Hall ceased to be (it is no longer there) please?

Thank you for all your help

Sarah

Seems the Shields family were living there by 1935:
