Special Candlelight service at a local Methodist Church where we could remember lost loved ones. Small congregation but very meaningful and helpful service. We were each invited to light a candle for a loved one. rj

There's nothing wrong with being mediocre...as long as you're good at it!

Those events are very meaningful and people get great comfort from them.
We have our Christmas bauble service, the Sunday before Christmas .
Two very big trees are by the chancel steps,at the back of church are baskets of baubles people have taken ,sometimes years before but all in alphabetical order so easy to find the ones with your family’s names .
Names are read out and people go up with their baubles and people on ladders for the top branches hang the babies complete with names of loved ones, and then lower down .
It is very comforting to hear your loved ones’ names spoken out loud ,they are remembered .
The church is packed and mince pies and coffee served.
We may not see many of those people until next year but that does not matter ,they have some comfort and their loved ones remembered.
That is the point of the service.
And it is almost that time again .
How time rushes by.

My mother’s anniversary yesterday ,I have some white roses by her photograph, she was only 61,but was not even hospitalised after a heart attack ,just left at home until I argued with the G,P .that she needed much better more qualified care than being at home.
But she died in hospital the next day after a second heart attack.
I have some regrets about that.
Well Flash Harry,Kyra and Layla the boxer puppy ,mummy and daddy came yesterday, will come again today bringing fish and chips!
They had fun with some stickers my son had  got for them .Kyra loved her’s, fairies etc ,F.H’s were animals ,he drew cages etc made a zoo picture.
He looks so grown up in his specs ,black like daddy’s .

Well must get on a bit ,although it will need a tidy when they have gone .
It is so nice to see them all, but gosh Layla is big and gangly ,she is the first boxer I have seen with an undocked tail—- my it is soooooo long like a whip and bangs on things when she wags it - well waves it!
That can cause injuries and it has a lot of nerves but dogs do communicate
with other dogs via their tails.

Well I hope all are alright and those unwell are feeling better.
Hope you all have a nice weekend .Thanks for your news folks .
Cheerio.Viktoria.

So pleased you saw your family Viktoria,  that made a nice change for you, not long now before you can get back to  normal but still  take it easy

Boxer dogs tails are lethal, when they swish they really hurt,  my friend had 2 very unruly  boxers, I visited her twice,   one dog jumped up and managed to claw my leg through my trousers, I never visited her again.

I had a bad night's sleep last night, had been out for afternoon tea, I couldn't attack the cakes,  just a sandwich and a scone but it was obviously to much and I had an uncomfortable  night, somehow I can't eat as much as I used to.

Had a very busy week being  spoilt just because I had a birthday, back to normal now,  dare not stand on the scales till at least next Monday.

Our church has a memorial service tomorrow,  all funerals  the priest has done over the year the families  are invited, anyone can add to the list  for names to be read out and a candle lit, it has always been a packed church.

Enjoy your day everyone..

Well a belated Happy Birthday,L.M.
Sorry you were uncomfortable after such a light meal.

Yes lovely visit .

A sunny day here but I am busy tidying all the filing ,I do keep things in order but had some changes to make to standing orders etc so old ones to burn and space for new ones made.

Oh for the days when you did things in person ,mind you I could’nt do that
now!
So the incinerator later ,no one has washing out .

Must make the effort to get to Church tomorrow.
Only twelve more days to pass before I can raise my arm right up.Yippee!
Thanks for your kind encouragement.

Son back tomorrow from head office,he was sorry to miss the  children .

Look after yourselves folks .
Cheerio,Viktoria.

It is a beautiful day today, went to the remembrance  service in just a jacket, was a really nice service, strangely  only 3 church people turned up, so I gave out the sheets and a candle whilst the other  2 organised tea and coffee,  after I gave out cards inviting them to our Christmas services,  really enjoyed myself, each and everyone who has lost a family member this year or our priest officiated  was formally invited but anyone could go and add their name to the list, was surprised at the lack of  church people, 3 helpers plus 2 extra  sitting.

Viktoria  it might only be 14 days to being able  to lift  your arm but  please don't over do it.

I hope tomorrow  will be a nice day for people travelling  to London to the Cenotaph.

Take care everyone
