Good Morning
The key to his is the extra info offered on the marriage licences.Luckily both married by licence.
So
John Short 47 year old widower gunsmith married Sarah Lounds age 23 or 24 spinster of the parish of Wednesbury 10.6.1765.
His wife Eleanor having died and been buried 12.10.1764.
Children Margaret 9.9.1766 and Robert 6.3.1769 follow before John is buried 25.1.1769.
John dying just before his youngest son Robert is baptised.
Then we have
Elizabeth Short age 18 marrying John Lound/Lowns age 24 gun stock maker 17.11.1772 .Consent to the marriage is given by Elizabeth's lawful guardian Sarah Short (nee Lounds) her step mother.
Sarah Short widow age 30 remarries soon after -26.11.1772 to Joseph Stables/Staples 23 bach gun polisher of Wednesbury .
She is buried Sarah Staples 1738-28.11.1817 at Wednesbury of Tipton.
There is also a Mary Lowns who marries 6.1.1770 a Thomas Stokes at Wednesbury .
So the Short family are father John Short and his daughter Elizabeth.
The Lownds are 3 siblings -Sarah born 1742 ,Mary and John 1748.
The Lownds are from Stone, staffordshire ,the children of Mathew and Margaret Lownds of Hilderstone.
Mathew married Margaret Dun at Eccleshall 17.4.1741 ,both of Stone.

His Will names his children John,Mary Stokes,Margaret Witherton/Withington ,Martha Moore and Sarah Steeple.(really Staples)
He was worth about £100 and a wheelwright. His son gets the house and the rest is divided equally.
I've not got his baptism at the moment but will do a bit more digging.
