Some of the  African children  & grandchildren  did very well for themselves.
I wonder if they knew that John Banks ELLIOTT was not legally married to Araba ESSUON. I've not been able to find anything about her i don't know if she was also Gérard Barton ELLIOTT s mother

It occurs to me that he may have been legally married in Ghana first to the mother of Gerard B ELLIOTT in which case his marriages in England would have been his 2nd &  3rd marriages OR  bigamous

Either way the mother of the very venerable canon Clement Henry ELLIOTT would not be very happy

Im.very slow at searches but as curiosity  got the better of me I have sent for his probate & will

I.m using pro tools on dna matches to try and establish if Gérard B & clement henry had the same mother

Hypothesis is that they did but I will post the cm amounts & ancestry relationship predictions on dna forum to see what the experts think
