I am looking into my Paternal x4 Grandparents, John Gribbin/Gribbon & Ellen Mallon/Jane Hunter, their daughter was my Great x3 Grandmother Mary Gribbin/Gribbon who I believe was baptised in Aghagallon, Northern Ireland in 1842, I have the Death record of Mary Gribbin/Gribbon located in Gourock, Scotland in 1904 with the Smithston Asylum, where her father is listed as John Gribbin/Gribbon, while the mother is listed as Jane Hunter, and Marys age is listed as 62, which would mean she was born around 1842, the Informant on the death record was an asylum attendant, not one of her family members, while I have a baptism record in Aghagallon in 1842 for a Mary Jane Gribbin baptised in January, parents listed as John Gribbin & Ellan Mallon, so the Mothers are listed with different names on each record, I also have John and Ellan marrying in the parish in 1828, 14 years before Mary would have been baptised, but I am putting that down to her being one of the last children who were born into that family, would it be sensible to discard Jane Hunter as the name of the Mother, and presume Ellen Mallon is the real name of Mary Gribbin/Gribbons mother? If you also believe that this is not the same Mary Gribbin, please let me know
