Free Access to MyHeritage Death-Related Records, until 2nd November
« on: Friday 31 October 25 04:28 GMT (UK) »
For Halloween. Worldwide death, burial, cemetery, and obituary records. Exact end time not stated, but it's usually 11:59 pm Mountain Time on the last day, which I make to be 6:59 am GMT on Monday 3rd.

Introduction
Collection catalogue

It says it has 18 collections added or updated sibce last year. I am pleased to see that on a few spot checks, My Heritage's "United Kingdom Deaths, 1980-2024" register doesn't suffer from the transcription errors resulting from assuming American date order found in Ancestry's similarly-named "United Kingdom Deaths, 1989-2024" which may or may not be related. If you have used the Ancestry one in the past, I suggest you take the opportunity to check, especially if you got a low-numbered month and day. They usually noticed the problem for "impossible" dates but didn't always fix it correctly.  >:(

You need an account (free) but do not need to sign up for a free trial of the whole site. No payment details are taken on registration.

As always with free periods, save anything of interest on your own device, as you'll need a sub to see it after the offer closes.

Note that some of these records are free at all times elsewhere, like FreeBMD, so check before expending too much midnight oil.
