Booths of Bramley
« on: Tuesday 28 October 25 21:11 GMT (UK) »
Harriet Booth (unmarried - b. ca 1811), her daughter Mary Booth, (also unmarried - b. ca 1831) and grandson Benjamin Booth (b. ca 1857) all of Bramley, appear in several census records. By 1871 two other grandchildren are listed - Sarah Ann & Emily. Benjamin married Sarah Hannah Ross in 1879. Any info on Harriet's parents and whether Mary is Benjamin's mother would be a great help.

No mothers maiden name shown on Benjamin's birth reg so you would have to download a digital copy of his birth cert to find his mothers name.  Digital copies cost £3

Can't find an 1851 entry but in 1861 Mary is the only child so it's more than likely she is Benjamins mother

Is Harriet in 1841 the one living at Lowfold, Bramley. At the same address is the Spencer family and a William Thackray. Looking at the image there is a mark in the margin above Harriet's name, denoting enumerated as a separate household. If so where is 10 year old Mary in 1841? Hopefully she can be found with grandparents

There's a Harriet Booth buried age 10 at Leeds d/o James and Hannah on 13 Nov 1822. If she was born in Dec 1811, the above Harriet wouldn't be 11 yet, so age fits
