Please can anyone suggest where the baptism records for this former non-conformist Chapel may be, as this Chapel
has now been closed for a few years?

Genuki suggests that Airedale & Wharfedale FHS cover this area.  It might be an idea to contact them to see what information is available on the area.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

The Newton Non-conformist Chapel was first built in 1696, it was then rebuilt in 1887, finally closing for services in 2012.
As far as I know my ancestors were living in and around the Newton in Bowland area from the late 1700' s onwards, so any available family baptism, marriage and death record information from around this period and later would be very useful to me if I can find out where the records are now kept.

Newton in Bowland is near Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley.

Lancashire Family History Society is made up of a series of Branches one of which is Ribble Valley.

Making contact with them may help.

Also Lancashire Archives.

The defacto standard for Lancashire Records for the pre 1974 County is Lan-opc.  They may have knowledge of the current location of records for the chapel.
