i got told my family came from tydavnet monaghan ireland.
Tydavnet is the name of both a civil parish and a townland-

so they where all born well before the registration started for birth marriage death.so would any information on these be in a church records and can you go to the church and look at them or are they somewhere else . i take it they would all be  protestants. but i could be wrong. as all my family are all protestants. so do you know what churches are in that area please any help would be good.
IF they were Protestant there are different possible denominations. Were any of the family there in 1901 census? if so you can see what the put down for religion.

and would ireland know when my family moved to the usa as well.
For that information you'll need to search through all possible U.S. records (as you really should do before trying to do any Irish research)

This site might be a good starting point-
