Marriage for Mary Cahill and David Kelly

I have a DNA match that traces back to David Kelly and Mary Cahill or Cahil.  Their son John was born 1835.
They  were in the Dundalk area of Kilkenny.  Can anyone find a marriage for this couple. Not sure of their religion. 

I am hoping to get back past this couple.  Thanks for any ideas.

There is a John to parents of those names in Gowran Parish 5 Oct 1834

They lived in Dungarvan.

Did you mean to type Dundalk or is that a typo, Dundalk is in Louth, I don’t think there is another one in Kilkenny.
Although you have posted on the Louth board so I’m confused now, but than it is very late and I should be asleep.

Yes I do have John's birth 1834 October reg recorded 1835  Dungarvan.  Yes that is where they were.

Sorry about Dundalk - I have another Kelly line from Louth.  Both in my DNA matches.  Perhaps I should start again in the Dungarvan page.   
that said i was looking for this marriage date as their children were born years apart   1816, 1825, 1831 and 1834.etc.

I see 8 children baptized to this couple, all in the parish of Gowran, Co. Kilkenny.
To avoid confusion, their address - Dungarvan - is not Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, but Dungarvan, Co. Kilkenny.

David and Mary were married in the parish of Clara, Co. Kilkenny, 3-7-1809.

Note that Gowran and Clara were united prior to 1852, so location ambiguous.
Early records for Gowran must be held at Clara, as I see the address Gowran in 18th century Clara parish records.

John Kelly was baptized 5-10-1834. I see no basis for saying "recorded 1835".

He was the third son of the name John born to the couple.

Thank you very much for looking and this is exactly what I was hoping to find. 

This Kelly line is related to a DNA Match of mine .  John's Dob I got off a search on Ancestry and I assumed that being accurate . I also wondered if some translation might have done what happens here . People born in Oct -Dec get added to index in the March  Quarter of the next year.   

To follow this family further I shall to look in Gowran and Clara in Killkenny.   Thank you for finding  that.

Are these the children:  Mary 1811, John 1814, Bridget 1816, Michael 1818, David 1825, Judith 1831 then John 1835

What I am now trying to estimate is when David and Mary were born.  I am thinking around 1790-1795.
 
I really appreciate what you have found.  I will hunt down the records to keep.

Registrations by quarters apply to civil registrations but church records are totally separate. In this case the priest probably recorded the baptism very soon after the sacrament took place.

Thanks Aghadowey.   Like I said it was an Ancestry search that wasn't a baptism record.  Just a date of birth and year only.  So whatever transpired I cannot help.   i am satisfied with what i now have from here.  Thanks again.
