Alice Pepper's mother was Felicia Alice (nee Lawton), but she is listed as Alice on Alice's baptism records, so it's possible that Alice was also known as Lucy to differentiate her from her mother.

On the other hand there are these baptism records of John Henshall/Kenshall in 1785 in Keele, father Israel and mother Lucy, that could have been transcribed incorrectly.

Maybe someone could check them on FindMyPast?

Her burial record says "Elizabeth", wife of Israel  ???
