Regarding the question of if or when William & Esther's divorce was finalised, there's a court file listed at the National Archives and Ancestry. You'd need a sub to find out what's available from Ancestry

I paid for a will search with "The National Will Register" they said it could not be found.

We understood that the divorce went through because Esther went on marry the chauffer, but now I am questoning it.

The burial plot in Formby is the family burial plot where both william and Reginald should in theory be buried with the rest of the family but they are the only 2 that are not and we cannot find out what happened to them after their deaths.

My apologises, she doesn't end up marrying Percy, She marries a man called Herbet Wright in 1922.

Following this thread with interest - what is the National Will Register?

This should be your source for ordering the will https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/ as mentioned several times earlier in the thread.

Just googled the National Will register. It appears to have been set up in 2006 originally as Certainty The National Will Register Ltd which went into liquidation last year. They encourage people to register their wills with them.

https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/05914179/registers

https://www.lawsociety.org.uk/membership/offers/national-will-register

A basic search of the wills registered with them now costs £65 and only searches the 10.5 million wills on their register

https://www.nationalwillregister.co.uk/search-for-a-will/

So why would a will probated in the 1930s be registered with a service not in existence until 2006?

From their website
Will Registration is not compulsory in the UK, which means that not all wills are on the National Will Register.

As I said above, they encourage people to register their wills. It seems to be a service of limited usefulness and not well publicised.

Just a reminder, I am not an expert in this and I am learning as I go along and coming onto sites like this to ask for some advice and help.

I googled how to find a will and that was the first link that came up and I tried it and it didnt work.
