Regarding the question of if or when William & Esther's divorce was finalised, there's a court file listed at the National Archives and Ancestry. You'd need a sub to find out what's available from Ancestry

I paid for a will search with "The National Will Register" they said it could not be found.

We understood that the divorce went through because Esther went on marry the chauffer, but now I am questoning it.

The burial plot in Formby is the family burial plot where both william and Reginald should in theory be buried with the rest of the family but they are the only 2 that are not and we cannot find out what happened to them after their deaths.
