Hi Kiltaglassan,

That process just brings me up the probate information, I already have that, I am trying to search for the will to find see if it says where he was buried as it was not in the family plot, the same as his youngest brother reginald. But nobody seems to know where Williams will is I have contacted a few people and even paid for a search and it still cannot be found.

Hi Douglas P,

I already have all that information about Ann Caddick but we as well cannot seem to find an official marrige certificate for her marrying William Hughes, from my research i think the marriage should have taken place around 1921 as Ann is on electrol rolls with her son Reginald as Kendrick up until that point and then on the 1921 census they are living together at Tamhorn Park.

To get hold of the actual will, fill in the boxes on the order form on the right hand side of the screen. The info you need to do this is in the probate entry.
Then add to basket, and follow the process.
Cost is £1.50

When did William Hughes and his first wife divorce?

In reply#11 you say
There is absolutely no chance of him being buried with Esther they had a very nasty divorce that was all over the newspapers as she fell in love with the chauffeur.

All I can find are reports of a decree nisi being refused in July 1915 and after an appeal against the refusal in October 1915, the original decision to refuse the decree was upheld by the Master of the Rolls. Therefore no divorce in October 1915. Did William succeed in getting a divorce at a later date?

We cannot find the marriage certificate for his marriage to Ann but we do know that they did marry and we believe she is the woman named Lily in the newpaper article about his death as that is the name she is buried with on her first husbands grave. (its very confusing)

How are you so sure he actually married Ann?

And if you want to make a further attempt to get hold of that will, please do hurry because we have just been informed that the price is going up to £16 on 17 November :(

Are we going round in circles here?

Amy149 already said the will could not be found despite paying for a search

Hi Lizzie
But who did Amy pay?

It looks like she hasn't actually said but upthread I asked:

Isn't the will available from

https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/

and the reply was

Nope - I tried that and I even paid for the will search and they cannot seem to find it.
