I  have tried to ring both chemists,  no joy, jumping through hoops again to speak to a human being so gave up.

I don't make cakes pies or puddings now, my husband is the opposite, his  Dr doesn't  seem concerned he has gone down to 9st 1lb,  so there is he enjoying  a huge place full of food whereby I think I am on a morsel   not fair is it?

My scales are old but I weigh the same heavy object on them (The weight of which cannot vary) every so often and as long as that always shows the same weight I know the scales are working properly.

I weigh myself every Sunday as soon as I get up and have been to the toilet, I do it in the buff so there are no clothes to distort things. That way I know if my weight has changed up or down or remained the same and can adjust my food intake accordingly.

My weight is going up,it dropped drastically to just over six stones, but now over seven!
It serves me right ,I have  given to  B.H.F.so many clothes  of bigger sizes and don’t get out to buy new smaller ones !
Some of my weight is from  fluid retention , But  Bumetanide tablets are fierce and I need to be at home after taking them!

Well guess what, the builder phoned ,was on 30 seconds ,” it  is ——,see you tomorrow .” Yes, the hospital phoned just then!
They got “unrecognised number “ ——I have contacted them and the nurse practitioner says she will see me in person ,so a result .

Well fish and chips tonight ,so easy tea.

Such a cool ,dark dull day , clocks back on Sunday so dark sooner .

All apples off my little tree ,the last few to cook ,so more  apple sauce.
Or pie filling.

Have got unto the book I have struggled with,re Henry 1V
and his second marriage to a French Princess,  after his first wife had died ,first wife was the mother of Prince Hal .

Here in The North ( note capital letters),whenever we toast the reigning Monarch
It is :- “ The Queen, The Duke of Lancaster “, now of course “ The King, The Duke of Lancaster “ it goes back to John of Gaunt.

We did Richard 11 ,Richard of Bordeaux for O Levels ,felt sorry for him but he was a bit if a tyrant, not like his father The Black Orince.
What a rich history in these little islands.

Look after yourselves folks, we mean a lot to each other ,what a huge difference between us and horrid people who use their phones etc to cause unhappiness and fear .
I think RootsChat deserves medals !

You have a good recall for historical events Viktoria  8) I'm more interested in historical stuff than in school years though not a lot on offer really then and mostly limited to particular NZ events and then not chosen as a subject at senior level.

Very petite you are too!! that is a bit ancient history for me  :D I was 6st 10lb when I met husband but was probably eating like a sparrow then, eating out and socialising more after that, then home cooking and feeding family and these days just trying to keep a bit moderate. I don't usually do much in way of baking or puddings for just the two of us, always something husband can have to eat for afters if he wants it but he is trying to be a bit moderate too. I did make an apple and fig crumble this week, mainly to use the preserved figs taking up room in the fridge. Daughter's friend gave us a huge jar but they are too syrupy and sweet for us really and only slowly getting through them and nearly gave up as struggled with lid of jar this time and thought I was going to break it. I had already cut up some Granny Smith apples ( granny sniff as daughter's goddaughter calls them  :D ) so persevered and nice but still just a small portion each time.

Holiday weekend NZ and things to do around home really, a few days away for us next week ... enjoy your weekend all ...

Clocks back tonight folks ,well I think so!
Usually the end of the monthI seem to remember.

I have mentioned already that my bathroom clock is already back an hour so will be correct tomorrow.

Grand daughter’s Birthday next week ,30 th,born 1994,Lily is one year old on
Nov 13 th,Kyra is 4 on Nov 11 th,  ,daughter is 58 on Nov 22 nd and my husband’s Birthday was Nov 26 th.He would have been 94,
How he would love the little ones, our grandchildren were a delight and he loved ferrying them toschool ,swimming club, riding club etc.
He was’ “The best Grandad in the world “,  and a little posy from them was on his coffin ,with those words.

Happier notes, Lily’s mummy is expecting another baby ,a Caesarian this time after her ordeal with  Lily’s   birth - who was nearly lost !

Look after yourselves folks ..
Viktoria.

Many thanks ,new baby not due for a while ,can’t remember the date, early days yet.

A dull drizzley morning and I have not been up long, lay abed even though we had the extra hour!
Not sure if to cook a small ham joint ior a piece of salmon , both well in date so perhaps the shorter date of the two .
Tesco delivery this evening so a fridge to tidy and wipe out .
It has a special finish to the lining, anti bacterial so no bleach or cleaning fluids, just soapy water or else it loses that special finish.

No news really ,so hope all are safe and as well as they can be.
Look after yourselves ,thanks for your news, how lonely life must be for many
who live alone and not able to get out much.
