On the other hand, another passage in Gaches's Memoirs cites *Vincent and Jacques BONAFOUS of Castelnau de Brassac.
This Jacques is believed to be Jacques BONAFOUS, a bourgeois of Saint-Amans, husband of Esther DE SAPTE, who appears in the registers of the Saint-Amans church from 1599 onward. This Jacques appears to be the eldest son of Bernard BONAFOUS, a tax collector in Castres, cited in Batailler's Memoirs (1584/1586).
