Looking for Harriet Smith before her marriage

Harriet Smith married William Harper on 1st December 1888 at Melbourn, Cambridgeshire full age . Her father was shown as George Smith Gatekeeper on Railway. 

Census records shows her place of birth as Leighton Buzzard Bedfordshire. 1891 age 26 born 1865, 1901 age 38 born 1863 and 1911 age 48 born 1863

Can anyone help me find her in census records before her marriage

In 1891 William Harper and Harriet and daughter Agnes age 1 have a William A Smith age 8 as a boarder in the  household born Royston.

Harriet was of Royston per banns before the marriage

William Anderson Smith was registered Royston 1883 illegitimate, so was he Harriet's son?

A copy of the birth certificate will give an address where they were living at the time.

I think you have solved it for me. I have just found the military record for William Anderton Smith and he gives his parents names as William and Harriet. I will check for his birth details
