There is also an image of Charles CLARK's death certificate. Definitely the correct man, with parents Charles CLARK (blacksmith) and Elizabeth nee TAYLOR, spouse - Mary DODD. Aged 80, farmer. The place of death is the Parramatta Mental Hopsital. Cause of death - chronic nephritis, myocardial degenration and something else I can't quite read. (58 years in NSW, 10 years in Victoria.)

Possibly chronic colitis.

Maddy may login to give you specific link to the death certificate image, but I just used Ancestry with the name and death date. Exact Australia.

Sue

After much searching I found it, thanks Neale. You were right, I did already have it. I think the third cause of death might start "thrombo...".

I meant to add yesterday that admission records for mental health hospitals are usually closed for 110 years. Not too much longer (5 or 6 years?) and you may be able to read them.

A fellow researcher has pointed out that none of the official documents give Charles Clark or his father, also Charles Clark, a middle name. I'm not sure where that came from, probably another tree. Since I have been unable to substantiate the middle name, I have dropped that on my tree, but made a note that he may have had the middle name.

I'm still keen to find the source of the four pictures, which seem to have a similar caption style. Is it possible for a moderator to copy this thread into a Scotland section of Rootschat?

Thanks,

Geoff

You can do that yourself.

HOWEVER, be aware that posting the whole thread may not be relevant to helpers in Scotland.

Instead start a new topic on the Scotland Board.

Write a full summary of background and of findings on this thread and importantly provide a link to it.
(copy from address bar, paste into typing window)

Describe your primary request (origin of the photos) and include the photos in question.
