Identifying a Matthew Lynch, Nottinghamshire death, 1965
« on: Tuesday 14 October 25 14:04 BST (UK) »
Hello, I'm looking for information on a Matthew Lynch born in County Meath, Ireland, in 1896. He served in the British Army in WWI and lived in England for decades. In an index file, England & Wales deaths, 1837-2007, I have found a Matthew Lynch who died in Nottinghamshire in 1965. I don't know of any ties to Nottinghamshire. How can I find out more about this Matthew Lynch, to see if he is the one I am looking for?

A Matthew LYNCH with that date of birth was a hospital porter at University College Hospital (London) in 1939.
He was said to be Single.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Thank you, Neale and Geoff! Yes, the Matthew I am looking for was born in Kells, Meath, Ireland, in 1896 and lived in London and Manchester (that I know of).

I'm trying to complete the online form to obtain a death certificate from Nottinghamshire as Neale helpfully suggested. I'm having trouble filling out the online form with my US mobile number, which they require. +1xxx-xxx-xxxx and any variation of that, with or without spaces and/or parentheses, seems to be rejected. Any suggestions?

This looks like the one.  You have to pay to view.

Thank you -- it's helpful information. I will still need to obtain a death certificate in order to know more about the identity of this Matthew.

Neale, could you give me a citation for the Kent reference? Thank you!
