My last confirmation of his residence is in London, 1954 (Electoral Registrar). My father saw him in person in London in 1952.

What was his address in 1954.

Matthew Lynch returned to England / arrived in London from NY on 27 Mar. 1928.
He gave his occupation as man servant, and his address as Newcastle, Kells. Co Meath.
I don’t know if he went back to Ireland or stayed in London.

In April 1937 Matthew made an enquiry about his army discharge papers
Address at that time was - 73 Pembroke Rd., Erith, Kent
(see his WW1 papers)

See the following -
Electoral rolls 1949, 1951, 1952, 1953 Matthew Lynch at Belgrave Mews, Westminster.

Electoral Rolls in 1958, 1959, 1960 at Sussex Street Westminster is Matthew Lynch and William Lynch.

Unfortunately, since you are not providing any detail that you have about Matthew, there is very little we can do to assist.
Milligan - Jardine – Glencross – Dinwoodie - Brown: (Dumfriesshire & Kirkcudbrightshire)
Clark – Faulds – Cuthbertson – Bryson – Wilson: (Ayrshire & Renfrewshire)
Neale – Cater – Kinder - Harrison: (Warwickshire & Queensland)
Roberts - Spry: (Cornwall, Middlesex & Queensland)
Munster: (Schleswig-Holstein & Queensland) and Plate: (Braunschweig, Neubruck & Queensland & New York)

This is very helpful. Thank you.

I have sent a request for a death certificate and expect to have that in a week or two. With the death certificate, I hope I will have enough information to confirm that the Matthew Lynch we've been talking about is the one buried in Nottinghamshire.

I did provide the information I knew earlier this weekend-- see below.

•   Names of his parents? Laurence Lynch and Mary Farrelly
•   What Regiment was he with in WW1?
•   Where did he live in England and when? Manchester pre-and post-WWI and London, WWII and beyond
•   Where and when is your last sighting of him? My last confirmation of his residence is in London, 1954 (Electoral Registrar). My father saw him in person in London in 1952.

Emigration to Canada in 1923, YES
And then emigration to New York in 1924, YES

and an Uncle P Markey. I DON'T HAVE THIS INFO and DON'T RECOGNIZE A MARKEY -- CAN YOU PROVIDE A REFERENCE FOR THIS? Thank you!
USA Naturalisation in 1928
Possible Matthew Lynch born in Newcastle, Kells, Meath, Ireland on 28 Oct 1896 YES, THIS IS  THE ONE. YES

Thank you, Daisy -- the census will give me context as I look into Patrick Marky and his relationship to Matthew Lynch.
I appreciate all the assistance from you, Neale, Geoff, and wilcoxon. As a newbie, please excuse any missteps as I learn to navigate this forum and community. It's long been a goal to find out when and where Matthew Lynch died and a bit more about his life. These last few days have brought me closer. I am researching what I'm learning as I await the death certificate I have requested.
