Oh, Viktoria - making beds, all those other chores!!!
You simply CAN'T take it easy, can you?
Please try! Perhaps one son could organise a cleaner / help round the house, for you - at least for a month or two?

Well my bed is a single one so easy to make ,presently I don’t flick the sheets just smooth them out a bit and the duvet is easy.
It looks like a rag bag in next to no time .

Had a lazy afternoon ,but some meat to be dealt with for freezer meals so tomorrow will be busy .

A dull day and dark so early, when do the clocks go back?
It will be dark really early then.

Well, Johnson & Johnson baby powder manufacturers deny there was asbestos in the talc.
I remember reading that talc had been found in ovarian cysts, it was THE powder for babies and the recognisable slight perfume was “ BABY” .
How dishonest of Johnson’s.

Hope all are alright ,at least warm and well stocked up .

Easy does it Viktoria ... a week down now and plenty of rest and some more comfort and pampering your way required for a few weeks yet, not easy to break the mould eh ;)

Birthdays here and there, friends and several family. A happy get-together last Saturday for middle granddaughter turned 6, catch up with husband's only sister and baby of his family after 4 boys, she's just had her 8th grandchild and the 5th boy born 9 days before her birthday this week. My eldest sister next week, she was a great grandmother before I was a grandma with all her grandchildren 20's and 30's now, one grandson abroad for a few months and in London at present.

Back to another week closing in though the days lengthening daylight hours for us, Friday has come around quickly, our youngest and her husband are coming over tomorrow which is always lovely.

Happy days all and be well or as well as can be  :) ...

Well, Flash Harry has severe shortsightedness!
Special glasses and I was astonished they are not free for children ,I know there are vouchers but how much  of the cost do they cover?
I know he will probably get individual help because most class work is done on iPads ,which they have been advised will not be good for him ,he is severely rationed already re how much time he is allowed his iPad at home.
It amazed me the glasses were not free .
All my blood relatives get free tests because I have advanced Glaucoma.
What a shame, hope it does not end his liking for sport.

I don’t suppose anyone thought of how iPads can affect eyes after Covid when Ipads were used for home schooling .
Oh dear what a shame .

Well I did not do too badly this evening in the 1%club.but would not have got the last one.

Well must tidy kitchen for the night ,then bed and no good book !
Viktoria.

My grandson had to wear glasses when aged about 12.  He couldn't see the black/white board properly, so always looked at what his neighbours were doing.  He's amazed at what he can now see with his glasses and how much he must have missed!  He's also been fitted with contact lenses, which he wears sometimes.

Now, Viktoria, please take it easy for the new few weeks and leave difficult jobs till your 6 weeks are up.   I got quite good at ironing with my left hand, but made my husband peg the clothes out on the washing line.  Taking it down was quite easy.  It just fell into the basket.

Unless you want to make yourself ill again, Viktoria, PLEASE take it a whole lot easier than you are doing! Gillg, myself and others, KNOW how important these first few weeks are!!
Make your family pamper you, for a change! You really should encourage your sons etc to organise domestic help and support for you, if they can't / won't do it themselves, for a few more weeks, if they want to see you recover fully.
Sorry, but YOU should be the important one at this point!

I never had a problem or worried about the ironing whilst I was recovering from my PM op, in fact I have never bothered with it since my dear wife died- I could never get the hang of setting up the ironing board. Viktoria, please, please take it easy. The 6 weeks recuperation and limited use of your arm will soon pass.

Many thanks, I am not really doing much - bed tidy .cook a reasonable meal and keep the kitchen and lounge tidy .
I have a little Ewbank type carpet sweeper ,very light ,no vacuuming as yet .
Only done a bit of washing and that on the indoor clothes dryer .
Not ironed it as son away to head office just now and I am not lifting the ironing board out .
So all quiet, well stocked with fresh and frozen food , many prepared meals so quite easy really.
I wonder about people who live alone and need much more help than I.
Six weeks is a long time and I have two sons who can take me to the shops
or shop for me ,
The one who lives here is really tied to the computers ,it is his work and there are each day computer“ meetings “. so not free much really .
The other lives in Bolton but is very helpful as he is retired .
Other than instructions re no arm raising or heavy lifting there are no real instructions about every day chores etc.
I will get through but another five weeks to do,thousands do .
Many thanks for your kindness folks ,for people who really are alone it must be difficult though.
Cheerio.Viktoria.

Good Viktoria,  that is what we want to hear  that you aren't over doing  it and ou are being sensible,  what's a bit of dust over a few weeks??, wasn't it Quentin  Crisp who lived, I think, in Chelsea who never dusted his room 🤔,  a week has gone by already, we all know you must be frustrated as you are such a live wire but it will pass quickly,  just take care.
