« on: Sunday 12 October 25 19:14 BST (UK) »
Looking for some information on Percival C Osborn married to Ella Hughes in St Albans in 1934. Did they divorce and did they both remarry? Did Percival have anymore children apart from there son John. And where did Ella originally come from and her parents? Thanks 👍

Have you found them on the 1939 register?

When was Percival born?  Have you looked for a birth on freebmd or checked the 1911 oe 1921 censuses for him?

Is he linked to your Thomas Osborne post?

Have you looked for a remarriage for either of them?

Is the son deceased - born 1936?

According to his war records on Ancestry he was born 3/3/1911

There's a newspaper report from 1946 that might suggest a matrimonial fracas - although I can't access the image on my sub and the text is badly jumbled up.  His army records only record Ella as his spouse, and that up to 1956 when he was in the reserves

However have found Ella in 1939 (not with her husband) with the alternate name Howes recorded and a date in 1947.  Mr Howes is mentioned in the newspaper article

John R Howes
Ella Osborn Or Hughes
Q4 1947

This is probably her death - birthyear one year out but day & month correct

Ella Howes Age    57   12 Oct 1913
Dec 1970 Doncaster 2b  1102

So probable birth reg

Births Dec 1913
Hughes    Ella    mmn Ball    Pontypool    11a   382

You need to check the 1921 census for further info.  Possible marriage for her parents is on freebmd in 1906
