Thanks loads for that, much appreciated. Im beginning to wonder if Jane could have been married before she married William Dixon, im thinking that because in 1861 she was already 34. If thats correct she would have a different name when she remarried to William and would explain why i cant find a Ewart and Dixon marriage x

William in 1841 census has a sister Mary. Wondering if this is a double wedding.

Wonder if the mother is Jane/Janet--might explain 1858 marriage?

"In the County Grey, USA, on the 7th of May, the wife of Mr Jonah Clark, daughter of Mr George Dixon, formerly of Kebrah, Greystoke, age 31 years."
