Hi. Please can anyone tell me where I might find information on an ancestor who was a Police Constable in Sussex, possibly in Hastings. He was, William George Adams, he was born 1895 and I think he was married to, Nellie Gibb.
Many thanks

In 1921 he was a Police Constable living in Newick and employed by East Sussex County Council.
So at that time he was probably in the East Sussex Constabulary.

East Grinstead is in West Sussex, so did he transfer to West Sussex Constabulary or commute to duties in East Sussex? East Grinstead is on the border of East Sussex.
