Aaron Victor
« on: Wednesday 08 October 25 07:54 BST (UK) »
Hi,

My 7th gt-grandparents: Aaron Victor and Sarah Roberts, married at Paul in 1708.

I have been unble to find any record referring to Aaron Victor's birth. I guess that it would be approximately between 1670 and 1690.

With his OT forename, I think it likely that he is connected to one of the Abraham Victors:

Abraham Victor Snr. (1644 -1703) of Sancreed and Abraham Victor Jnr. (1674 - 1736) of St. Just.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Thanks.

Gordon

I note the marriage on freereg 26 July 1708, it looks likes their only daughter was baptised 5 August 1708. There are possible burials for Aaron & Sarah 14 Aug 1719 & 22 May 1725 respectively, sadly no ages.
Also a possible baptism for Sara ROABART 26 Feb 1687/88, Paul : St Pol de Leon : Parish Register, Father Thomas but nothing for Aaron, the record if there was one may not have survived. There is a John Victor in the parish around the same period.
Most of these records are also on this site under Cornwall Resources.

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

Thanks for your reply.

I have found the people that you mention, but nothing else.

The online parish clerk for Madron tells me that baptisms at Madron in tne 1680s and 90s have been lost.
