James and Isabella HALL of Dromore
« on: Monday 06 October 25 08:39 BST (UK) »
Isabella WELSH 1852-1899 married James HALL at Ballynamaddy, Ballymena on 2 Feb 1876.

Isabella died at Dromore on 13 Feb 1899 aged 46 of typhoid. Son James was the informant.

James HALL died 10 Feb 1901 at Dromore aged 76. Son James was informant. Quite a bit older than Isabella.

They had four children that I could find.
James 1877-1954.
Matilda Carson (Maud or Tillie) 1878-1959
Rosetta 1880
Isabella Brown (Bella) 1883

Can find Matilda and Bella in 1901 and 1911 with their brother James at Dromore.

Can't find Rosetta in 1901, but in 1911 she is a head mistress of a girl's school in Finchley in London.

Can anyone assist in finding anything else please.

Thanks
Ian C

Possible marriage for Bella to a Samuel Coleman in 1919 at Killymurris Presbyterian Church, a Rosetta Hall was a witness:

Added: Likewise James Hall junior to Sara M Sayers in 1915, Samuel Coleman and Isabella Brown Hall were the witnesses:

I wonder if the James Carson Welsh and Ruth Hall who married at Killymurris Church in 1879 were related to Isabella Brown Welsh and James Hall, a James C Welsh was a witness at James and Isabella's 1876 marriage:

Yes James Carson WELSH and Isabella WELSH who married James HALL were brother and sister. James HALL and Ruth HALL were not related that I can find. Lots of Halls in that area.

James Hall left a will which you can read on the PRONI wills site. It mentions the children you have named.

Probate of the Will of James Hall late of Dromore County Antrim Farmer who died 10 February 1901 granted at Belfast to Samuel Welsh Walker Welsh and Robert Coleman Farmers.

Also:

Hall James of Dromore Glarryford county Antrim farmer died 17 March 1954 Administration Belfast 18 August to Sarah Maria Hall the widow. Effects £12924 12s. 6d.

Samuel and Walker WELSH were Isabella's brothers.

Can't find Rosetta in 1901...

This could be Rosetta in the 1901 census - an English governess.
At Orchard Lodge, a Ladies school. FindmyPast.
