Thank you!! I was wondering after reading that will. Im thinking this is his father. I havent found any siblings for him at all, but apparently the farm was passed down through the generations!

Greatly appreciated. Thank you.
David.

I think this one best shows Pant-feillionen in its landscape context - the 1:25000 map from 1937-51.  The farm is sited near the 425 foot contour in a steep sided valley.
(The 1:2500 map shows a bench mark on the buildings at 430.4 feet - BM and a broad arrow.)

A thought occurred to me.  Did these people speak Welsh? Were they obliged to make their wills in English?

Thats a very good point. Maybe someone had to be present to translate? I dont recall seeing a will in Welsh. I could be wrong though!

Loving that map! Fantastic when all the maps are sewn together like that!!

DEATHS.

Davies-May 9, aged 80, Hannah Davies, formerly of Pantfeillionen, near Llandyssul. He was a loyal member in Horeb for many years. A sermon was preached on the occasion, very appropriately, by the Reverend T. P. Phillips, from a subject she had chosen, which was part of the Psalmist's prayer, and no doubt she had prayed it herself, "Do not cast me away in old age; do not forsake me when my strength is lost."
