There's an Archibald Wilson who enlisted in the Northumberland Fusiliers in Bedlington and died 1 Jul 1916

Widow Mary Ann Robson

Some records suggest he was b Kittybrewster/Aberdeen

Could be yours?

Just to note there's another Archibald Wilson with Scottish connections who died on the same date

I thought he might be Archibald Patrick Wilson s/o James and Jane, b Holywell. On both 1881 and 1891 census with father (and mother in 1881, and presumed stepmother in 1891)
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

Thank you for the article, definitely looks like it could be him! I wonder if that John Simpson is connected to Mary E F’s later husband David, or maybe that’s me being wishful.

Thanks for the marriage. It looks like both the occupations match for 1901 and 1911 (coal miner, hewer).

Very intriguing regarding the WW1 death, I will look further into that. Thank you. Quite curious about Kitty Brewster because there is the one in Blyth (near Holywell) but also the one in Aberdeen.

I had thought this too and it matches quite well given same birth place / can’t seem to find Archibald Patrick after 1891.
