Who are these soldiers, English or American?

Was told one of these men was a deceased friends father, but she was born 1932. So what nationality are these soldiers and roughly date of photo?

Think they are U.S.A. soldiers. Date of photo I don't know.

Hi, don’t know what others think, but I would put the hairstyle as later than the 40’s?
