Family photos needing some cleanup

Help needed please. I am hoping someone may be able to cleanup these two family photos so we can correctly identify the people.

Had a go, but not a great result I'm afraid; the amount of damage and different types of damage made it difficult to recover their features. For what it's worth, I think the two people in the first picture could be the same two on our left in the second picture.

Thank you so much for your efforts Peter. Well done. It is enough for me to identify them. I now just have to work out what the strange corsages the ladies are wearing and why. Probably impossible!!
