Ancestry "All-Access" subscription in UK?
« on: Wednesday 01 October 25 11:34 BST (UK) »
Does anyone in the UK have an All-Access subscription? I can't find out how much it costs or even if it's available here. I can see it on the US site Ancestry.com where it costs $39.83 per month for 6 months - about £30 per month, plus any fees for the £/$ conversion.
Interestingly, the subscription says you can "Invite up to 4 family members and friends to join you on Ancestry® at no extra cost—same plan, same great features" which means if you have 4 friends who want the subscription it costs only £6 per month each. Does anyone make use of this option? How does it work - do you each have your own login and separate family trees so you can work completely independently of each other?
Thanks all

All Access does not seem available in the UK, or if it is I am not seeing it as being available in our Account Settings.

The Ancestry website says ……. All Access includes all records (UK and international) on Ancestry®, as well as memberships to Forces War Records and Newspapers.com™. The All Access membership is one of four membership options; the other three are UK Essentials, UK Premium, and UK Worldwide. To start a free trial, see Ancestry® Free Trials.

To upgrade to the All Access membership visit your Account settings page, then go to the Membership section.
.
.
So it looks like it is Worldwide + Newspapers + Forces War Records (Fold3?).

The Newspapers and Fold 3 were (are?) available via their own subscription and I tried both and both were of limited use for me.  Find My Past certainly has better Newspaper resources even if the searching feature was designed to be unfriendly.

British Newspaper Archive for me is the best website for searching local Newspapers.

As for Family Plan, I get an error message displayed when I click on the link on the Ancestry Website.

Clicking on my link above takes me to a page headed:

"You've been invited to join an
All Access Family Plan!  Accept invite".

Go to account settings (https://www.ancestry.co.uk/account) and scroll all the way down and All-Access is listed there under the Modify Membership heading.
