1800 Polish Baptism Record
« on: Wednesday 01 October 25 06:21 BST (UK) »
I am trying to decipher this polish baptism record. I'm not sure I have the name of the child, the father and other details correct.

This is what I have roughly translated so far:

On this day, at midday, the child Daniel? was baptised; his father Daniel(?)Janusch(?) resides in the parish district; the mother is Anna Rosenblatt. Witnesses to the baptism were: Barbara Nowak, Anna Wolna, Susanna Schrokas, George Nowak, Johann Nowak, George Janusch, and Joseph <surname?>.

Thanks! Any help would be appreciated.  :)

I think it says Daniel was born midday (mittags geboren) on the 15th and christened on the 16th. His father was Daniel Janusch, a farmer. Mother Anna Rosenblatt. I don't see a Joseph after Georg Janusch, but rather they were from the place Jaschkowitz.

@fiddlerslass: your remarks are spot-on ;)
@BettyLouLou: I think the name is Schroka instead of Schrokas, but I'm not 100% sure.

Daniel was born midday on the 15th of September and christened on the 16th.
His father was Daniel Janusch, a farmer in Jaschkowitz, his mother Anna Rosenblatt.
Witnesses:
Barbara Nowak, Anna Wolna, Susanna Schroka, George Nowak, Johann Nowak, George Janusch, farmers in Jaschkowitz

Awesome! Thank you for your assistance.

The Polish records are hard to read, so it's good to have a fresh set of eyes to check and check the translation is correct.
