... In Alicia's death there isn't a 29 Feb 1869, and can't find her death registration so possibly not registered at all.

The GRONI website death registration index shows a death registered at Antrim for an Alicia Wilson who died on 27 February 1869, reported age 73.

Added: Belfast Weekly News, 13 March 1869: WILSON - February 27, at her residence, Ballydugenan, Toomebridge, Mrs. Wilson, aged 74 years.

Thanks gaffy.

There is no death for Alicia on the Irish Genealogy website, which is where I had been looking.

The informant for John Wilson's death in 1889 was his sister Margaret CHESNEY. Found a marriage for a Margaret WILSON to a John CHESNEY in 1864 at Duneane. She died in 1898 and is buried in the Duneane churchyard with her husband John.

There is a memorial on Findagrave for him which has quite a few names on the headstone, one of which is a John THOMPSON, who is labelled as Margaret's uncle, which leads me to believe that Alicia WILSON's maiden name was THOMPSON. Margaret had a grandson who had the second name of THOMPSON.

A few errors on that stone as well. John THOMPSON died in 1882 not 1880.

Nearly all deaths from 1864 to 1870 have yet to be digitised, they paused a long time ago when they got back to 1871 with the promise of picking it up again in due course, but never did pick it up again, presumably due to lack of resources.

The births in that time period were indexed but had no images, but they appear to be there now.

The site itself has had an update recently as well. Instead of just typing in the county, or registration district, you are now presented with options.

Images for the birth records on IrishGenealogy have been there since at least 2019.
