1636 Marriage contract
« on: Sunday 28 September 25 10:21 BST (UK) »
This is the actual marriage contract for Oudart Fournier from the notary notebooks of Boulogne sur Mer in 1636.
Not a nice more modern transcription like all the Rodiere ones!

I am actually interested in two of the witnesses.
In the middle of the 7th line is Philippe Senlecque
Line 8 then mentions his wife Michelle fournier, who was an aunt of Oudart's.
What's that first word on line 8?
I can't quite make out the letters.
I'm hoping it might tell me more about Philippe, but I think probably not.

This runs to a few pages, but I don't think he is mentioned agaim
He has a great signature on the last page!

Thanks

Goldie,
do you have a link to this notary?

ADDED: I think it might be 'maryée', but I'd like to have more text to compare.

It took me a while, but it's mary de, written as one word, meaning 'mari de'. So Phillippe and Michelle were husband and wife.

Thanks
I thought it might just be something along those lines.
I've seen all the little transcribed pieces attached to the image joger, but they doesn't transcribe word for word, just mainly the names of the people within the text. and I just wanted to be sure I hadn't missed any information about Philippe.
