Jane JOHNSTONE. Any siblings

I am hoping for help to find if Jane BENNETT, born Ireland 1824 had siblings.

Jane BENNETT, whose maiden name was JOHNSTONE arrived in NSW with her husband William BENNETT per Theresa in August 1842. A baby named Rose Ann was born on board and was 5 weeks on arrival. Both parents according to the shipping record, were born Armagh.

Jane was 18 years (b. 1824) and William, a farm lab aged 20 (b. 1822). Her calling, housemaid.

They were Protestant.
 
Her parents recorded on the passenger list were William and Rose JOHNSTONE, both living.
William’s parents recorded on the passenger list were William and Anne, both living.

They set up a successful farming life in the Nunawading area of Victoria after 2 years in NSW and produced a number of children.

 I am fairly well informed on the Australian aspects.

Information from certificates-

William BENNETT death certificate. Died 1887. States born Tanderagee, Armagh.
The birth Certificate of a daughter Margaret states her parents, William and Jane, were married Oct 1st 1841 at Armagh and both were born there. The informant on this document is the child's father, William

I do not have Jane's DC, but the index entry for her 1889 death states parents unknown.

I would be glad to know of her brothers and sisters if possible as I’m not much at Irish research.

Which Protestant denomination -  Church of Ireland or Presbyterian?
Tandragee is the civil parish of Ballymore but Mullavilly (Kilmore) is very close.

Ballymore and Mullavilly Church of Ireland registers survived as were not deposited in Dublin prior to 1922 however they are not transcrbed on RootsIreland https://rootsireland.ie/armagh/online-sources.php so the information has to be viewed in person on microfilm in PRONI or alternatively Mullavilly still holds the originals to those can be consulted there per the conditions on their website.
Neither options are realistic for you in Australia.

If Jane had younger siblings who married after April 1845 then those will be online on IrishGen. Tandragee falls under Banbridge Registration District, but consider looking at Lurgan and Armagh Districts too. https://www.irishgenealogy.ie
A matter of opening all Bennett marriage images 1845-say 1860 in Banbridge district and reading them looking particularly at the residence church and father.
Her parents would have had to live till 1864 for their deaths to appear.
Johnstons you might be overwelmed with to attempt similar.

Many are unsuccessful with pre-1850 research in Ireland, much easier in England or Scotland where 1841 & 1851 census exist and more church of registers were kept, survive, and are online (you are of course in a worse situation without any individual historical Australian census returns).

Thank you for taking the time to explain the situation to me.

In regard to which precise church the family belonged to, I cannot say.
Some documents state Church of England, some Protestant and their substantial cemetery monument is in the Methodist section of the cemetery.

I think from what you have said, it will not be easy for me to discover more about Jane's Irish background.

Methodist & Presbyterian church names and coverage are listed on PRONI's guide under the respective civil ( = old Church of Ireland) parish boundaries. Any online indexes on RootsIreland in black dates followed by red tick. " Red font exist untranscribed. LC = Local Custody (registers remain at the church and have not been deposited in an archive). Note the sub fees. You wont find much in the way of church records for Ireland on Ancestry or Findmypast except Roman Catholic ones, nothing useful on Familysearch for that area either.

A transcript (on a subscription website) of the record of marriage between a William Bennet and a Jane Johnston on 15 October 1841 in Tandragee Presbyterian Church offers up one more piece of information, namely that Ballyargan was the groom's address (William Johnston, Thomas Hardy and Wm. Davis were the witnesses).

However, I don't see any Bennet(t) folk there in the Tithe Applotment Books or Griffith's Valuation.
