james lafferty and elizabeth galbraith

i am trying to find decendants of my great grandparents  james laffarty and elizabeth galbraith 
        they were married in 1878 in greenock west  i belive they had ten children the fifth my grandmother jane lafferty who died in 1936
          any help would be so appriciated

do you have elizabeth lafferty in your line born in Ireland and married to james mcgarrity 1858. Elizabeths father a james or john Lafferty mother Isabella campbell.

my elizabeth i belive was born in greenock and married james lafferty in 1878
i dont think its the same one

No unfortunately, i have no further information. only that she was born in Ireland, i would imagine about 1835 the parents John Lafferty and mother isabell campbell.
I cant find the marriage for her parents.
Elizabeth went under several names Eliza at her marriage, elizabeth on all census and death was elizabeth Hamilton. Her first husband James McGarrity died about 1870 and she remarried in 1879 to James Hamilton. Elizabeth had 4 children James, Maryanne Grace and Bella or isabella.

I dont know how or where to start to search for irish genealogy. have you got any suggestions on how to do this.

the irish records are a nightmare , have you tried on here its about the best site going for this
we are trying irish records on the other side of the family but so far no luck
