Hi
It's vexing because the Vicars of Curry Mallet and West Hatch are obviously to blame here for their awful record keeping.
The Wilment family of West Hatch and Curry Mallet all seem to fit in and lead back to John and Elizabeth Varrier married 27.4.1704 at CM.
We have their children -Jane Mar 1704,John 5.3.1706,Hugh 22.1.1709 ,Richard 7.8.1812 ,Elizabeth 20.1.1714 ,Ann 20.9.1717-5.1.1718 ,
Nicholas 2.11/3.12.1718 ,William 21.4/10.5.1721 and Samuel 10.5./9.6.1725.

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/215169128/richard-wilmontRichard Senior leaves a
Will -Richard Wilment 1795 yeoman Bishop of Wells Wills dd/x/ST/14 .I'm assuming at Somerset Archives. Mr William Wilment dies 20.11.1807 at CM and his estate pays death duties .I'm assuming Richard's younger brother but with no age given he could be the son of Nicholas born 1743.
William yeoman Curry Mallett T/PH/pro12 Reel 3 No 193So does your
Francis - yeoman Estate Duty Curry Mullet Reel 3 No 60The estate duties should give the beneficiaries of their estate.
In Reality for Francis that'll be his wife but you never know William's may be more helpful.
I'm assuming Francis is the grandson of Nicholas Wilmot/Wilmont born 1719.
Nicholas married Rachel Mead 27.5.1740
children William 19.1.1743 ,Nicholas 10.3.1744 and Samuel 2.7.1748.
Nicholas and Samuel are both buried at West Hatch.
Samuel 1750-26.12.1819
Nicholas 1745-9.12.1816 married ? Rachel Gould at Fivehead 3.8.1760-daughter Mary 15.10.1760 Fivehead
Either would fit as Francis's father. But the only baptism is Richard 29.6.1776 at Curry Mallett with no father or mother given.Which is unhelpful.
And I agree with Trish that Nicholas is probably Francis's brother.
Getting a copy of the Will for Richard 1795 and death duty records for Francis and William 1808 and 1807 may help .(Francis's from the National Archives is £3.50)

Struggling to see what else . Maybe militia lists for Somerset with protentional Wilments in the parish9s) ,which may give an approx age for Francis if he was eligible to called up.
And land records maybe would give what land Francis owned and who had the land previously .
The 1798 Land Redemption tax records gives Francis 2 pieces of land West Hatch.
One he rents off Mrs Collins value £1
The other off John Made 10 shillings.
Next door to this is Nicholas Willment £2 and 12 shillings pieces of land he owns.
Maybe a clue?
