Paper trail genealogy is not my strength so I am using information handed on by other people. Charles Laws wife would be my direct maternal ancestor, 6 generations, thus my mtDNA ancestor. The people you mention are much later than those I am looking for, but their location means they are likely to be related.

By 1866 my branch of the Moore family had moved to Australia.

If Mary Laws was born 7 November 1793 she would have been 28-29 years old when she married.

William More/Moore. 16 July 1822.

Children found so far

1822- 1826  ?
Francis  circa 1826 (from 1841 census)
Eleanor 1827 bap. at Congham
Mary  (1841 census) shows as Ann on bap. record.
William 1831
James 1833
Mirius 1835  (Maurice)  this one goes to Australia**
Sarah Laws 1838
Frances Laws 1840    (reg. Freebridge Lynn 1840 mother's maiden name Laws.)

------------------------
1841 census listed as Maurice age 5 with family in Castle Rising

1851 Census  Moris Moor is 15 and a servant in Kings Lynn.

I assure you they are not the "older generation"

Marius married Alice and his father William paid his passage to Australia
