William "Billy" Tone b. Ire 1796 d. 1867 Arthur Ont. can't find

findagrave says he is buried St. John the Evangelist R.C. Cemetery but he is not listed in their records nor on the headstone where his wife Catherine Tone b. 1803 d. 1885  is found. I can't find him in any census in Ont.

The grave information for other members of the family gives the same plot reference. There is no plot reference for William.
The information for the other members of the family seems to have been listed by a ‘find a grave’ volunteer.
William’s information is provided by ‘family tree maker.’
Perhaps his death has been added by a family member rather than an actual interment.
I can see Catherine with her family in 1881 census and the children in 1861 census.

Do you have Catherine in 1861?

Amended  Same names born Ireland - odd coincidence

1851 Census Scotland  3 Stanners Street, Greenock, Renfrewshire

John Tonne 50  Born Ireland  labourer
Catherine Tonne 50   Ireland
Helen Tonne   18       Ireland   worker in a Flay Mill
Frances Tonne  16      Ireland  Groom
Catherine Fonner  11 Visitor   Ireland

ADDED
This gives father as John not William

Yes, I saw the 1861 but can’t find them in 1871, can you?
I wonder if the children arrived first and perhaps William died in Ireland and Catherine then went to Canada.

Sorry not answering your question but thought this was sad and may be of some interest.
