Help requested - meaning of 1662 phrase "ad Facultas Mag."

Hi, all,

I just came across the following phrase referencing a 1662 document, "signed by 'Jo. Berkenhead ad Facultas Mag.'".

Would anybody have any idea what it means, please ?

Should probably be … ad faculta(te)s mag(ister) = 'Master of Faculties', an official of the Archbishop of Canterbury who could authorise dispensations for things that were normally prohibited.
