Hi Jebber, I suppose what I found strange is it was recorded at all in the one they didn't physically get married in - I didn't realise that happened. But if that's what happens sometimes that's useful to know too :)

Years ago I lived in the outskirts of a village and was surprised to learn that the local church, which I attended, was not my parish church.   To get to "my" parish church, one had to go to the local village centre and take the road to the next village about a mile or two down the lane,

My deceased aunt's birth was registered in two separate Parishes; where she was actually born and where her mother and her mother's family were all born and resident. Both Parishes were on opposite sides of the country.
