Looking for Death record
« on: Monday 15 September 25 15:09 BST (UK) »
John Joseph O Shea born 20th May 1885 reg district Midleton Co Cork. He died 22nd March 1921. He was in the military & on his headstone his name is shown as Sean O Seagda (Irish version of name)
I have searched for a death record under all different versions of his name with no result. Thank you

Is his the only name on the headstone?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

If he died in Cork there is a chance he wasn't registered, there was Martial law in Cork from Dec 1920 until July 1921. People didn't make unnecessary trips or co-operate with authority if possible.

Where is he buried?

Thanks Sinann this sounds plausable given the circumstances at the time. Yes he is buried in Republican Plot in Holy Rosary Cemetery Midleton Co Cork as posted by LH
