Finding an Aunt
« on: Thursday 11 September 25 21:50 BST (UK) »
Hello all. I am hoping I can receive a big of help please. My access to another family finding group is playing up and causing me a headache. Could anyone be kind enough to find any information about a Patricia Coward.
I believe she was born in the 1930s in London and was evacuated during WW2. She came to live in Wolverhampton and I believe her maiden name may have been Patricia Hillier as she was adopted by the lady she lived with. She married my uncle Raymond George Smith in the late 1950s. In the 80s they moved to Barnstaple but the marriage ended.

Aunty Pat remarried and became Mrs Patricia Coward. I also believe she may have moved to Wales.

I would like to find out if she is still alive if possible.
I will be extremely grateful for any help you give. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately,  we cannot help with searches for the still living.

Rootschat have a no living persons policy to protect peoples privacy so you need to remove her name from your post.  Unless you know that WGS has died you need to remove his name as well

Click on the Modify icon in the top right corner of your post to edit it

If any children were born to the marriage you can look up their births to find her maiden name

She would have remarried as Smith but only one Smith/Coward marriage which was in 1953

Thank you for your replies.

I am aware of, and support, privacy for potential living people. I wasn't sure if my aunt was still alive and thought if she had passed away this may have been found in any searches. This was the reason for the post.

Sadly she never had any children.

Thank you to all that have responded.

Do you know where she was living in 1939? The 1939 Register will show her unredacted if she has died, a black line if she is living. Sadly, I found an old flame had passed away in this way. It does come as a shock to see their name there so be prepared.
