Help with townland Fanad Peninsula

In the registers of Fanad (Fannett) Presbyterian Church was a Hugh Hunter of Kinavire (& various spellings)

Hugh Hunter (son of James & Fanny Hunter) married 1828 Lily Moore (dau of John & Rebecca Moore) and had issue
Rebecca 1829 Kinnyvire (she died young)
Fanny 1831 Kinnavarie
Matty 1832 Kinevire
Rebecca 1835 Kinavire
Eleanor 1839 (no address)

Any ideas of townland? It seems that Fannett Presbyterian attracted members from all over the Fanad peninsula.

Is the townland Kinnegar in Killygarvan parish? But I can find no Hunters there in the tithes or Griffiths valuation.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Fanat Presbyterian Church looks to only be about 4 miles from Milford.

If the above details are the right family could they have moved from "Kinavire" (after 1846 when Fanny married) to Carmoney (by 1854 when Rebecca got married)?

So, that might rule out the death for Ellen/Eleanor in 1902.

Thanks Aghadowey,

The link on the Irelandxo forum was very interesting and seems to put the Hunters in Carmoney which is across Mulroy Bay from Carrowkeel (Kerrykeel) where Fannet Presbyterian church is situated.

I assume they travelled across Mulroy Bay on Sundays on small boats otherwise it was a fair spin by land down through Milford.

on the Donegal resource site under Parish of Killygarvan sorry to say this but a

Robert and William Hunter from Ray House jump in the water at Carraleena Point in 20/8/1867
