On the profile for William on Ancestry there is a marriage to Kate Russell in 1893.
There are no details or marriage records in that website.
The family details are correct according to 1901 census.

1911 census says they’ve been married 18 years which might be where that year came from.

Looks like Leonard was illegitimate
