Ancestry Cluster Tool
« on: Thursday 11 September 25 10:35 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone,  Is anyone having problems using the cluster tool on Ancestry.

I have had real difficulty reloading a cluster page to review. computer awfully slow and eventually the load just cuts out.  Static useless image.

Have tried my laptop and access was Okay but getting the info was a hand copy issue and the thing just stalled pointing to just the particular square I was making notes on then it would not move to anywhere on the page.

just hoping it's ancestry and not my gear.

I have used the My heritage one on earlier searches and that was never a problem.

that said this Tool is  so far giving good results.

cheers  Essnell.

Oddities do seem to happen with Ancestry, I had one yesterday, on checking the latest DNA matches one stood out as it showed Common Ancestor but clicking on it brought up a totally different DNA match, there have been a few other minor issues like sticking searches and blank pages being loaded.

I am just putting it down to their September Syndrome as this does seem to be the month that they update their systems, it is also when the updates to their Ethnicity database occurs.

I may be wrong but as I am not currently subscribing to ProTools I cannot check my results out to see if the same problem exists.

Fingers crossed it is only temporary, a restart of your PC may also resolve issues.

If the issue still occurs checking for updates and then clearing the Windows Cache may help.

Lot of hanging pages and errors at my end but that's nothing unusual, they've just dropped thirty matches on me in an hour after 3 weeks of no matches at all.
