Stupid question - where have you got the exact date of birth from?

Nothing showing in Bethnal Green Registration District for April-June quarter 1872 - GRO.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.
He/she who never made a mistake, never made anything.
Archbell - anywhere, any date
Kendall - WRY
Milner - WRY
Appleyard - WRY

Thanks Kay99 for finding the previous post. Saves a lot of people wasting an awful lot of time in going over research already completed.

Good Afternoon
Looking at the other thread ,don't you already know?
James was born as James Leahy s of Alexander and Charlotte Leahy nee Chipp carpenter .
The clincher is his school record when he went to Yerbury Road School 16.3.1885.
James Leahy DOB 3rd July 1872 father Alexander 17 Melton Grove..

He was baptised at St Phillips Islington 4 Sep 1872 and is on the censuses with his family.
Alexander Leahy 1833-DEc 1898 Islington
Charlotte Leahy 1834- Mar 1895 Islington.

So Alexander ,carpenter was dead by the time James married in 1901.

Is that right? It looks right
