Hi,

My 3rd great grandfather George Scott Blenkinsopp died on the 23rd June 1869 at the Govan Poor House. He was living with the rest of his family at 12 Marlow Street, Kinning Park, Glasgow, but fell ill with Typhoid and was admitted to the Govan Poor House where he died aged 41.

I'm trying to find the burial information for him, but I've really hit a brick wall. His grave would probably have been unmarked (they were very poor and all 10 of them lived in a 2 room tenement) but I would still like to know where he was buried.

I presume it may have been in a mass grave.

Would anybody be able to help me with this?

Thank you,

JackB
