Difficulties tracing ancestors the Newcastle area

I'm trying to find ancestors in the Byker, Wallsend, Newcastle area in the late 19th and early 20th century. I have never done any research in this area before and am finding it difficult to find any baptisms or marriages of the families that are in the tree. I have access to Ancestry but one particular family the Stapletons/ Stabletons/ Stabletons/ Stapyltons are proving really hard to find. Is there a shortage of records that have been released to online platforms? or am I just failing to locate these people.

I have an Alice Stapleton that married a William Henry Wright in 1907 at St Lukes Wallsend. she gives her father as John Stapleton a labourer. Alice was 22 (so she says) at the time of her marriage. I can find her after this in the 1911,1921 census and 1939 register. However, I cannot find her in birth registrations, baptisms or positively identify her in census returns prior to 1907. In 1921 and 1939 she records her name as Jane Alice and Jane A.
Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.

Obtaining her Marriage Certificate will give her age (hopefully accurate) together with her Father’s name and occupation.

These will then give you a starting place to research further back.

Alice has the same entry but shows only Alice as her name.

1911 census has her birth place as Marske, Yorkshire and the above birth is by far the nearest.

What is her full birthdate on the 1939 register?  That should enable you to find a birth reg

That could be Marske near Richmond or Marske by the sea near Redcar.

Hello all
Thanks for the pointers.
The 1939 Register gives her birth date as 14th February 1884.
I have her marriage certificate and that gives her age as 22. These two don’t quite match up.
I think the 1911 is meant to be Newcastle Northumberland spelt and amended incorrectly by William her husband who would have filled in the form.
I’ve searched birth registrations from 1880 to 1890 using this information but nothing comes up using various spellings of her maiden name.
When her daughter Irene was born and registered in Tynemouth district her maiden name was recoded as Stapylton. She lived in Wallsend with her husband until his death in 1934.
