Subscription to 1921 census
« on: Tuesday 09 September 25 17:33 BST (UK) »
Just lookingat Find My Past sub for the 1921 and all other records - they are offering a half price sub for about £8.47 per month.  Presumably this is for a year but does seem to be a very good offer.  Has anyone taken up this offer and is it that good.  I do a one name study and wonder whether they restrict your time of using it.  Please can I have your view on this.  Best wishes. Denzil.

If your local public library has free access to Ancestry, you don't need to pay the extra subscription to FindMyPast as you get the 1921 Census as part of the Ancestry Institution package.

At my local library it's called Ancestry Library Edition?
Is it the same thing?

@denrosh

Yes, I have taken advantage of the "special offer" from FindMyPast.
Only downside is that it is billed in one lump annually, ie 99 pounds and not the 8.47 per month.
To answer your question, there are absolutely no restrictions on the amount of usage.
Their website states that the offer is available for a limited time only, without actually stating a date of expiry.
It's certainly the cheapest offer from FindMyPast that I have ever seen.
I believe people have been complaing about the subscription costs.
Ancestry has had for a few years running a similar offer of all access for 89 pounds and also has the 1921 Census available.

Ask here on Rootschat for the current link to the offer
